The New Jersey Area of Cocaine Anonymous (CANJ) runs canj.org to carry the message to the addict who still suffers. We take your privacy, and our tradition of anonymity, seriously. This page explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
We only collect information that you choose to send us through the forms on this site:
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, any other personal details. We never sell, rent or share your information with outside organizations.
We use what you send us only for the purpose you sent it: to reply to your message, to send occasional text updates about meetings and events to people who have asked for them, and to keep the H&I Committee’s record of who has completed training. Phone numbers given for text updates are used only to send those updates. If you would like to stop receiving them, or want your information removed, reply to any message we send or let us know through the Contact Us page and we will remove you promptly.
Form submissions are stored in the password-protected administration area of this website and in the Area’s committee email accounts. Access is limited to the Webservant and the trusted servants responsible for the committee concerned (for example, the H&I Committee for training forms). Our website is hosted on a secure server and every page is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
This website does not set any cookies of its own for visitors. Two Google services we rely on may set cookies belonging to Google:
We count visits using Jetpack Stats, which works without cookies and does not identify you. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, your visit is not counted at all.
To opt out of Google’s cookies, you can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, or block cookies for google.com specifically. Doing so will not stop you from reading anything on this site, although the forms may not work with cookies fully blocked.
Links to online meetings (Zoom), map directions to meeting locations, and our Facebook group take you to outside services that have their own privacy practices. In the spirit of Tradition Six, C.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; these links are provided only as a convenience to our members.
Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions. We never publish the name, photograph or other identifying information of any member without that member’s written permission.
This policy took effect on October 1, 2026. If we change it, the new version will be posted on this page. Questions about your privacy on this site can be sent through our Contact Us page.
