Literature

Crack

For many of us, it was only a matter of weeks of using before our whole world came crashing down upon us; for some it came sooner, for some it came later. Some of us used other drugs or alcohol for years without ever experiencing the loss that we experienced with crack cocaine.

Literature

Cocaine Anonymous Self-Test

While the name “Cocaine Anonymous” may sound drug-specific, we wish to assure you that our program is not. Many of our members did a lot of cocaine; others used only a little, and some never even tried coke. Whether we focused on a specific mind-altering substance or used whatever we could get our hands on, we had one thing in common: eventually we all reached a point where we could not stop.

Literature

C.A. Lifeline

C.A. Lifeline’s primary purpose is to help the newcomer addict’s transition from treatment to the rooms of Cocaine Anonymous. We do this by providing a temporary contact to a C.A. member in the newcomer’s local area.

Literature

C.A. is Also for the LGBTQ+ Addict

When we first made it to a meeting of Cocaine Anonymous, we were offered a helping hand. Those who reached out didn’t care if we were male, female, rich, poor, what drugs we used, what religion we were, or what color our skin was. The fact that some of us were LGBTQ+ was not an obstacle; those carrying the message of recovery to us were far more focused on our need for sobriety than our sexual orientation. Their unconditional love and acceptance made us feel comfortable and welcomed.

Literature

Being of Service

We discovered that the best way to serve God was to serve our fellow humans, and we found humility in the process. Our self-centered behavior was gradually replaced with the “attitude of service.”

Literature

Being a GSR

The main purpose of the GSR is to provide two-way communication between the Group and the District or Area, depending upon the local service structure. The GSR should also be trusted with the Group’s vote.

Literature

Anonymity

Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.

Literature

A Message to Professionals

Our goal is to inform you about Cocaine Anonymous and how our 12-Step program can help those with substance abuse issues recover from addiction.

Literature

A Higher Power

It is easy enough to confuse the word spirituality with religion. As it relates to God, Cocaine Anonymous is a spiritual program, not a religious one. In C.A., we believe each individual can choose a Higher Power of his or her own. In short, a God of his or her own understanding.

Literature

12 Principles

The 12th Step of Cocaine Anonymous suggests that we “practice these principles in all our affairs.” Principles can be defined as fundamental truths, beliefs, values, or philosophies.
